Research Interests:
Ryan Donaghy's research interests focus on organizational communication with a specific interest in gender in organizations, conflict communication, and strategies for conflict management in organizations. While completing her Master's at Arizona State University, Ryan served as a researcher for the Department of Refugee and Migration Affairs with the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. Her work in Geneva is reflected in her thesis The Red Crystal: A Case Study in Intractable Conflict, a discursive analysis of the conflict surrounding the new organizational symbol of the International Committee of the Red Cross. Following her Master's and prior to moving to Boston, Ryan taught and researched the implementation of Western educational institutions in non-Western cultures at Bilkent University through the Fulbright Scholar program.
