Master's Program in Communication, Media, and Cultural Studies
This two year degree program explores media and communication through the research traditions of media and cultural studies. The program engages with the history, theoretical innovations, research methodologies, and critical practices of knowledge production in media and cultural studies. It encourages the notion of active citizenship through an interrogation of the relationship between and among media, representation, and the public.
Successful M.A. graduates will gain a number of advantages from this program, including the opportunity to continue their graduate study in Ph.D. programs both nationally and internationally. Others will find the program valuable for enhancing their credentials and and establishing themselves in a variety of fields, including teaching, publishing, writing, law, business, consulting, and production.
