On behalf of the faculty and staff, I welcome you to the Department of Communication Studies and our website. I hope you find the information on the site to be helpful and valuable. We have included links and text that attempt to clearly describe and explain our program. If there is information you need that you do not find, please feel free to contact us.This is an exciting year for our department. We will be searching for a new chairperson to lead our multifaceted curriculum and we are launching our new graduate programs. The department continues to grow quantitatively and qualitatively. This year we have hired four new post doctoral teaching fellows who bring enthusiasm and varied interests to our already dynamic faculty in public advocacy and rhetoric, organizational communication, and media studies.
